La casa se ubica en un tejido urbano consolidado con una orientación única (norte) y parte de unas premisas muy concretas por parte del cliente: La planta baja como lugar de trabajo (una sala de baile), la planta primera para vivir, y en lo alto una terraza. Con la máxima economía se resuelve el proyecto.

La sala de baile se muestra a la calle. En la vivienda, las piezas se disponen en paralelo y alrededor de un doble recorrido. En la parte posterior se sitúan los elementos de servicio y la escalera. Las persianas tradicionales valencianas sirven como elementos que conectan y separan todos los espacios entre sí, generando la intimidad necesaria en el interior y tamizando la luz del exterior.

La luz es el tema central de esta casa y recorre todos los espacios. Luz horizontal a través de la fachada y luz diagonal a través de los volúmenes que asoman en la cubierta. Esta operación se acentúa además con el uso del pavimento en mármol macael y con el color blanco con el que se resuelve todo.

The house is located in a consolidated urban structure, facing north and with very specific instructions by the client: The ground floor is to be used as a workplace (a dance hall), the first floor for living, and a terrace on the top floor. The project was resolved with maximum efficiency.

The ballroom opens to the street, inside the house, the spaces are arranged in parallel and surrounded by a double trajectory. At the rear of the house, the service elements and the staircase can be found. The traditional Valencian blinds are used as pieces that connect and separate all the spaces between them, providing the necessary privacy indoors and sieving the incoming light.

Light is the central theme of this house, we wanted it across the whole space; horizontal light through the fasade and diagonal light from the volumes on the roof terrace. This operation is further accentuated by the use of pavement in macael marble and by the color white with wich all is resolved.

Das Haus befindet sich in einem verdichteten Stadtgebiet mit einer nördlichen Ausrichtung und basiert auf sehr spezifischen Prämissen seitens des Bauherrn: Das Erdgeschoss als Arbeitsraum (Ballsaal), das erste Obergeschoss zum Wohnen und eine Terrasse im Dachgeschoss. Das Projekt wurde unter dem Gesichtspunkt maximaler Wirtschaftlichkeit umgesetzt.

Der Ballsaal öffnet sich zur Straße hin und im Inneren des Hauses sind die Räume parallel und um einen zentralen Durchgang angeordnet. Die Haustechnik und das Treppenhaus sind auf der rückwärtigen Seite platziert. Traditionelle valencianische Fensterläden erfüllen eine doppelte Funktion, indem sie die verschiedenen Räume miteinander verbinden und gleichzeitig Intimität schaffen, indem sie das einfallende Licht von außen filtern.

Licht bildet das zentrale Thema dieses Hauses, das sich durch sämtliche Räume erstreckt. Horizontales Licht durchdringt die Fassade, und diagonales Licht gelangt durch das überstehende Dach in den Innenraum. Diese Lichtgestaltung wird durch den Einsatz von Marmorfußböden aus Macael und die durchgehend weiße Farbgestaltung betont und verstärkt.
